Final appearance, with sharpness at 0

This shows the final result, with the size set to “Just Scan” and the sharpness set to 0. The halos are gone, and text looks smooth. Even if this photo makes it look slightly fuzzy, it looks great in real life (read up on ClearType or “sub-pixel antialiasing” to understand why).

    Glad this old post is still useful! It’s frustrating that manufacturers still don’t have a reasonable out-of-the-box config.
